1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using LifeOS (“the Service”), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this service.
2. Service Description
LifeOS is a productivity and cognitive load management platform that helps users optimize their work patterns, manage tasks, and prevent burnout through energy tracking, focus sessions, and intelligent scheduling.
Important: LifeOS is a productivity tool and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. The neuroScore and related features are designed for productivity optimization only and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.
3. Subscription Tiers
LifeOS offers the following service tiers:
- Free Tier (Explorer): Core productivity features including task management, basic focus timer, journal entries, and habit tracking.
- Pro Tier (Builder): Enhanced features including advanced analytics, template store access, priority support, and expanded usage limits.
- Premium Tier (Architect): Full access including Google Calendar integration, P2P Vault Sync, unlimited AI file extractions, and cross-device Focus Shield.
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
4. Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a free trial of premium features. At the end of the trial period, your account will revert to the Free Tier unless you subscribe to a paid plan. We will not charge you without your explicit consent.
5. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Account Security: Maintaining the security of your LifeOS account credentials
- Google Account Security: Maintaining the security of your Google account when using Google Calendar integration features
- Data Accuracy: Providing accurate information and keeping your account information up to date
- Compliance: Using the service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Acceptable Use: Not using the service for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose
- Third-Party Services: Managing your own third-party service accounts (Google, Stripe, etc.) and their security settings
6. Google Calendar Integration
When you connect your Google Calendar account, you grant LifeOS read-only access to your calendar events. This integration is used to:
- Display your upcoming calendar events within your LifeOS schedule
- Identify long-duration meetings to suggest post-meeting recovery periods
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Google account
- Revoking access if you no longer wish to use this feature (via Settings or your Google Account permissions page)
- Understanding that LifeOS will suggest recovery tasks based on your calendar events
LifeOS adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Calendar data is processed in real-time and is not stored, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of LifeOS is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Key highlights:
- We do not sell your data to any third party
- Google Calendar data is never stored or shared
- Raw biometric sensor data remains on your device only
- We use Google’s Gemini API for AI features (task parsing, day planning, document extraction) — but no Google Calendar data is ever sent to AI
- You can request deletion of your data at any time
8. Medical and Health Disclaimer
LifeOS is not a medical or mental health service. The neuroScore, energy tracking, and recovery recommendations are productivity tools designed to help optimize work patterns and prevent cognitive burnout.
These features should not be used as:
- A substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- A replacement for mental health counseling or therapy
- A diagnostic tool for medical or psychological conditions
If you are experiencing persistent fatigue, burnout, or mental health concerns, please consult with a qualified healthcare professional.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of LifeOS, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of LifeOS and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of all content you create within LifeOS (tasks, notes, journal entries, etc.). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely to provide the service to you.
10. Limitation of Liability
LifeOS is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. LifeOS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of productivity, or business interruption.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. You may request export of your data before termination by contacting us.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
